(I don't think you actually ever mentioned which patch/mod of mine you were trying to install. Other than that, you installed and applied nothing else. Then you applied my mod (the slave list mod). When you open most archives, the Name box will show you the name of the mod as parsed from the meta info collected when it was downloaded. With mod support for over 65 different games, Vortex is the most versatile mod manager. Install a mod from the Steam Workshop by running the game launcher through Mod Organizer (see Installing mods from the Steam Workshop guide below).
When it comes to Vortex vs NMM, many users think Vortex is better than NMM for the following reasons: 1. Copied the files into the game folder (before running the new install). Many people ask questions about Mod Organizer 2 vs Vortex and NMM vs Vortex. Basically when you delete the backup folder you are telling the game that the state it is in right at that second is the 'base' version all things should build from or return to. Note: if any mods are active when backup folder is deleted, those mods can never be un-applied or applied in a later order. Although for the slave list mod I only have you copy in completely new files (the mod system ignores new files otherwise). Yes, deleting the backup folder is generally needed any time you manually copy any file into the strive game folders.
Not sure where you are at, at this point (you will likely get better response time from me if you me over on discord).
